Jean-Claude Van Damme's home in Marina del Rey has a new owner. Actor, rapper and producer Ice Cube gave $7.25 million to purchase the canal front home of the actor and martial artist.
The custom contemporary home in Marina del Rey was built in 2011 and features a gym, a home theatre as well as a wine cellar of poured concrete and glass. The three story home is connected by an elevator and a glass-enclosed staircase.
The interior of the 7,574 square foot home boasts six fireplaces, six bedrooms, 11 bathrooms, a formal dining and living room along with a modern kitchen.
The view of the canal can be enjoyed from the terrace patios on each level. Or, take in the panoramic city and ocean views from the swimming pool on the rooftop deck.
The property was initially listed for sale for $10 million approximately a year ago and then more recently for $7.49 million. Four years ago, Van Damme purchased the house for $6 million. The listing agent was Shaun Hurley who represents First Team Real Estate Maison International's Erin Alls represented the buyer.
The seller and action film star Van Damme is well known for his roles in 1988's "Bloodsport", 1991's "Double Impact", 2007's "Until Death". In 2016, Van Damme's voice was featured in "Kung Fu Panda 3".
The buyer, O'Shea Jackson aka Ice Cube has had acting roles in films like 1995's "Friday", 2002's "Barbershop" and 2012's "21 Jump Street". As a musical artist, Jackson released 10 studio albums.
